Living areas

The open plan living area is on three levels, giving it a light and sociable feel.

At entry level there is a sitting area with comfortable sofas and an open fire. A great place to relax and read a book or to gaze out of the windows across the neighbouring fields and hillsides.

Up a few steps is a large kitchen and dining area. The well equipped kitchen is complete with walk-in larder and a large free-standing refrigerator with freezer compartment. Cooking is by gas and electricity. The dining area has a large table with ample seating.

An open staircase leads to the gallery with TV, video etc., from which double glass doors lead out to the rear terrace and orchard.

There is a large utility room with washing machine, separate dryer and a second fridge.

Travers is heated by oil-fired central heating so the house is comfortable in autumn/winter as in spring/summer.

Bedrooms & bathrooms

Travers sleeps 7 in three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have 5ft double beds. One has an en-suite bathroom. The third bedroom is a triple (3 single beds).

There is a large family bathroom on the first floor and an additional ground floor WC and hand basin.

Gardens

To the front of the house there is an attractive garden with mature shrubs and a small lawn. The views from here are wonderful, looking over neighbouring fields and woods. The house faces south east and there’s a carefully positioned wooden seat in the porch to enjoy them.

Pathways and steps lead up around both sides of the house to the rear orchard, which is also accessible from the gallery via a wide decking walkway.

Outside the gallery is a terrace with table and chairs for al fresco dining.

Parking

The house and its three neighbours are approached along a roughish lane, which is used only by vehicles of residents and their visitors. There is parking space for three cars on the drive.
